SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a parent-based treatment program that typically takes 12–15 sessions, but can continue beyond that if needed. The program is tailored to the individual's situation and includes three parts:

Psychoeducation: Parents learn about foundational concepts

Identifying and monitoring accommodations: Parents learn how to identify and monitor accommodations

Planning and implementing a specific plan: The therapist helps with problem-solving and outlining safety precautions for the interventions
